2. Scope of services
Our services may include assessment, advice, education, treatment and exercise prescription, depending on the service booked.
To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old, unless otherwise agreed with written parental or legal guardian consent and appropriate supervision where required. Certain services may not be offered to minors at our discretion.
Virtual services are delivered using the information you provide and what can reasonably be assessed remotely. You should consult with a licensed healthcare provider before engaging in any physical activity or program.
Polisthenics does not provide emergency medical services. If you experience severe or worsening symptoms, please seek appropriate medical attention. In the event of a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
3. Your responsibilities
To help us support you safely and effectively, you agree to:
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection and appropriate equipment for virtual sessions
- Provide accurate and complete information about your health, injuries and training history or any other relevant information
- Inform us of any changes to your health or symptoms
- Follow advice and exercises responsibly and within your limits
- Stop any exercise that causes sharp pain, dizziness or concern and inform us
You remain responsible for your own wellbeing and for creating a safe environment when exercising.
We reserve the right to terminate services if you fail to comply with these terms, including failure to provide accurate health information or engage appropriately with your treatment plan.
4. Face to face appointments
For face to face services (including physiotherapy and sports massage):
- You should arrive on time for your appointment
- Treatment plans are adapted based on your presentation on the day
- You may decline or stop any part of treatment at any time
Late arrival may result in a shortened session to avoid delaying other clients.
5. Virtual services and online classes
Virtual consultations and classes rely on technology and client participation. By taking part, you acknowledge that:
- Assessment may be limited compared to in-person sessions and does not include physical assessments or hands-on treatment
- Advice is based on professional judgement and best available information
- You are responsible for ensuring a suitable environment and have the necessary equipment and technology
- Late arrival may result in a shortened session
- You must not record any virtual consultations without our explicit consent
By proceeding with virtual consultations, you consent to the limitations and potential risks and benefits associated with virtual services. While we aim to provide effective treatments based on our experience and training, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or a cure for your condition.
We reserve the right to pause or stop a session if we believe continuing would be unsafe.
We may also terminate the service if we believe your condition is unsuitable for virtual management. In such cases, we will offer recommendations for in-person care and issue a refund where appropriate.
6. Recordings
- Group classes, courses and webinars may be recorded and shared with participants where stated
- 1-2-1 sessions are not recorded unless explicitly agreed in advance
- By attending recorded sessions, you consent to being included in the recording
- You may keep your camera off if preferred. If you do not wish to appear in a recording, please notify us in advance where possible
Recordings are for personal use only and must not be shared or redistributed.
7. Bookings, payments and pricing
All prices are listed in GBP unless stated otherwise. Payment is required in advance to secure appointments, access digital content or enrol in classes and programs.
We accept payments via credit card, debit card, and other payment platforms listed on our website. Full payment is required prior to the commencement of any services.
We reserve the right to update pricing, but any changes will not affect services already booked or paid for.
Gift vouchers must be booked within 6 months of purchase for a single product or service and cannot be exchanged for cash. No change is given if the voucher value is higher than the purchase price.
8. Cancellations and refunds
Appointments and live sessions
- Refunds will only be provided if we are unable to deliver the service or if we deem your condition unsuitable for virtual management and you are unable to attend in person. Payments are otherwise non-refundable and non-transferable
- Reschedule requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session by contacting us in writing via email
- Missed appointments or late cancellations may not be refundable
- If we need to cancel, you will be offered a reschedule or refund
Digital products and recordings
- Digital products and recordings are non-refundable once access has been granted, unless faulty or misrepresented
We always aim to be fair and reasonable and encourage you to contact us if unexpected circumstances arise.
9. Health and safety
Exercise and manual therapy carry inherent risks. While we take care to reduce these risks, you acknowledge that:
- Participation is voluntary
- You are responsible for listening to your body
