I first met Anita whilst looking to improve my health and fitness. I found her manner towards me as a client professional and she was knowledgeable. Anita completed an assessment on my needs, took measurements and devised an exercise plan which concentrated on the areas that needed improving. She also advised on dietary and fluid intake to help maintain a good overall balance. The programme set at a level acceptable for my fitness level but also challenged me. When training together Anita encouraged me to work and even made adaptation if I was unable to do the planned exercise and made me feel like I wanted to push myself more. At the end of the training she would discuss and set new goals when i was ready to move forward. Keeping my enthusiasm high. I would like to thank Anita for all her hard work and time she put into training me as I have seen an improvement in my health, fitness and wellbeing.” – Paula

What you need to get started

  • For virtual sessions you’ll need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera, microphone and speaker, access to Teams (or similar), training equipment (a pole for pole sessions, kettlebells, dumbbells, resistance bands, etc for S&C – sessions are adjusted to what you have available) and enough space to move.
  • For face to face sessions you don’t need anything, equipment is provided or available at the venue
A woman with brown hair tied is performing a kettlebell swing exercise. She is wearing a black sleeveless top, black capri-length leggings, and blue and white striped socks. Her arms are extended forward at shoulder height, holding a grey kettlebell with both hands. She stands on a light wood laminate floor in a home gym or studio. To her right is a tall, chrome-coloured pole, for pole fitness. In the background, there is a light wood shelving unit with storage bins and some blue yoga blocks and other equipment, along with some potted plants.

Can I combine different training options?

Yes. Many clients combine classes or personalised training programs with occasional 1-2-1 sessions or add pole coaching alongside strength work for more targeted support.

What if I’m not strong or flexible enough yet?

All our programs and sessions are tailored to your level. We provide progressions and modifications so you can build strength, flexibility and confidence safely at your own pace. Our classes are suitable for various levels, please check each individual class description for guidance.

I don’t have a pole at home, is that a problem?

No. Strength and conditioning programs and classes do not require pole access. If you’re booking pole coaching, access to a pole will be needed, whether it’s at home or at a studio.

I don’t have much equipment, space or a pole at home – can I still train?

Absolutely. We design classes and programs to work with minimal equipment and limited space and offer alternative exercises where applicable. Strength and conditioning programs do not require pole access. If you’re booking pole coaching, access to a pole will be needed, whether it’s at home or at a studio.

How much time do I need to commit each week?

This depends on your goals and the option you choose. Most personalised programs involve 2-3 training sessions per week, each designed to be time-efficient and realistic alongside pole training. Classes are currently run once a week, however you can access all previous sessions on the Built For Pole platform. These are 30-40 mins long and designed to be completed as an add on to your pole training 2-3 times a week.

What happens after I finish a program or block of coaching?

You can continue with ongoing support, switch to a different training option or transition to independent training with a clear structure to follow.

Is this suitable if I’ve had injuries in the past?

Yes, as long as you’re currently pain-free. If pain or injury is present, rehab support may be more appropriate before returning to performance-focused training.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes, we do! Polisthenics gift vouchers can be purchased here and redeemed for any of our services or products, including physiotherapy, coaching, classes, sports massage, courses, webinars and eBooks. Learn more about them here.
