Frequently Asked Questions

What is virtual physiotherapy, and how does it work?

Virtual physiotherapy allows you to receive expert advice and treatment from our physiotherapists remotely. Through video calls, we assess your condition, provide guidance on exercises, and create a customised treatment plan to help you recover and improve your performance—all from the comfort of your home.

Who would benefit from virtual physiotherapy consultations?

Anyone who needs help with their rehabilitation following an injury. Please note, our services are not intended to diagnose or treat emergencies. In the event of a medical emergency, seek immediate assistance by contacting your local emergency services.

What can I expect during a virtual physiotherapy session?

During a virtual session, your physiotherapist will review your medical history, discuss any pain or injury, and assess your movement patterns via video. Based on this, they’ll provide tailored advice, exercises, and treatment recommendations to help you reach your goals.

Can virtual physiotherapy address my specific injury or condition?

Whether you’re recovering from a pole-related injury, dealing with chronic pain, or looking to prevent future issues, our therapists can guide you through treatment and provide tailored exercises.

How do I book a virtual physiotherapy consultation?

You can easily book a virtual physiotherapy consultation through our website. Simply select “Book Now” and choose a suitable time. If you haven’t been seen for your injury within the past 3 months, please book a new initial assessment. You will receive a form that you will be required to fill out before your appointment. Once you have submitted the intake form, your physiotherapist will review it and will send you a confirmation email with details on how to connect to the session. If you have already had an initial assessment within the past 3 months for your injury, please book a follow up session. Any new injuries or if your initial assessment was more than 3 months ago, please book a new initial assessment so we can reassess you fully.

What do I need for a virtual physiotherapy session?

You’ll need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera, microphone and speaker (such as a laptop, tablet, or smartphone), and access to Teams or similar video conferencing platforms. Ensure your space allows for movement so that we can effectively assess your condition. Having someone around can be useful.

How do you conduct assessments during a virtual consultation?

We use movement assessments through video, asking you to perform specific exercises or motions. Having someone around can be helpful in giving further feedback. This allows us to evaluate your range of motion, strength, and identify any imbalances or areas of concern. Based on this, we develop a targeted treatment plan.

Is virtual physiotherapy as effective as in-person sessions?

While some hands-on techniques may be limited, virtual physiotherapy is highly effective for providing advice, creating exercise plans, and guiding rehabilitation. Many clients see excellent results, especially when they follow the prescribed exercises and attend follow-up sessions.

Can I book a face to face physiotherapy session?

Yes, you can, however this is limited to the East Midlands area. Please contact us before you book so we can discuss venue availability.

How long do physiotherapy sessions typically last?

A typical session lasts up to 60 minutes, depending on your specific needs. Follow-up sessions are generally shorter but can vary based on the complexity of your condition.

What happens if I experience technical issues during a virtual session?

If technical difficulties arise, we’ll do our best to resolve them quickly. Make sure to test your internet connection and video platform before the session starts. If we cannot complete the session due to technical issues, we’ll reschedule the session.

Can I have a virtual consultation if I am located outside of the UK?

Yes, we offer virtual consultations for clients worldwide. As long as you have an internet connection, we can provide remote physiotherapy services regardless of your location. Please note, we make no representation that our services may be lawfully used outside the UK, therefore if you access the service from outside the UK, you do so at your own risk.

Does my injury have to have happened during pole training?

No, we can help you with most musculoskeletal injuries, whether you injured yourself during pole or not. We have a deep understanding of pole-specific needs and are able to help you back on the pole.

Do you offer virtual consultations for non-pole-related injuries or conditions?

Yes, we provide virtual consultations for a wide range of injuries and conditions, including general musculoskeletal issues and sports-related injuries outside of pole dancing.

Do you take insurance?

No, we don’t currently accept insurance.

What payment methods do you offer?

We accept payments via credit card, debit card, and if you are based in the UK, bank transfers. Full payment is required prior to the commencement of any service.

What is your cancelation policy?

All bookings are non-refundable. Reschedule requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session by contacting us in writing via email. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in you forfeiting your appointment.
